A CLEAN SLATE

V1.  I am so ashamed of myself.

I have strayed away from You.

Lord God, I have disobeyed You.

I have made so many mistakes.

To make it up, I’ll do whatever

It takes.  I feel guilty.  Sin is

A heavy weight on my soul.

It motivates me to confess

My sins.  I come before You

For reconciliation.

V2.  I am sorry.  I will expiate

My sins through acts

Of penance.  I am sorry

For my transgressions.

C.  God, You always redeem me.

You give me a clean slate everyday.

Your mercies are new every morning.

Inwardly I am being renewed

Day by day.  You restore my

Self esteem.  You liberate me.

V3.  God, You are faithful and just,

To forgive me for my sins, and

To cleanse me from all

Unrighteousness.
